Olivia Defabritus, one of the assistant teachers here at Dancin on the Edge, and Kamryn Oplinger have recently been awarded the honor of having their choreography be performed in the Freehold Performing Arts Academy program's showcase. Their piece is called "I Miss You" which is a song sung by Adele. Olivia explained the piece is about "wanting and being desperate for someone or something."
Olivia Defabritus has something to say about this honor, "Choreography was definitely a challenge but it was really fun getting to do your own movement and watch it come together. It was hard working with a large group of people because everyone has their own styles and everyone had to learn the choreography in such a short amount of time, but all the dancers worked so hard and put themselves into the dance. Choreography is definitely hard but I ended up loving it and was very honored to have it be chosen to be in 'Eve of Choreography.'"
The staff and dancers of Dancin' on the Edge are so proud of Miss Olivia for all of her accomplishments. Good luck to all of the dancers performing in "Eve of Choreography!"
Come out and show your support!
You can see the performances on May 11th or 12th at 7 at Howell High School.
